Staples Business Depot donates
$6,200 to help Peel kids with
back-to-school needs

For Immediate Release

Over the past month, two Staples Business Depot stores in Mississauga – 401/Winston Churchill and Heartland – worked hard to make the beginning of the school year a great experience for kids who are clients of Peel Children’s Centre.

Staff at both Staples Business Depot stores asked customers to purchase school supplies or make a monetary donation to the stores’ back-to-school campaigns for families in need. Together, the stores and their customers raised over $6,200 in supplies and donations.

“For the second year in a row, Staples Business Depot has provided much-needed donations to children, youth and their families with serious emotional difficulties who are clients at Peel Children’s Centre,” said Humphrey Mitchell , the Centre’s Executive Director.

“It is very encouraging to know that Staples Business Depot and community members share our vision of A caring community working together for children,” Mitchell said.

“On behalf of the children, youth and families who receive services at Peel Children’s Centre, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the Staples stores, their staff and their customers for this generous support.”

Peel Children’s Centre is a fully accredited community agency that provides a range of high-quality mental health services, free-of-charge, to more than 3,600 children, youth and their families in Peel each year.
