Peel Children’s Centre’s 15th Annual Cosmic Bowl Raises $55,373 for Child and Youth Mental Health Services

Mississauga – Peel Children’s Centre (PCC) welcomed more than 300 bowlers and volunteers to its 15th Annual Cosmic Bowl on Thursday, May 23rd. The event, which was held at Classic Bowl in Mississauga, raised $55,373 for PCC’s high quality, free and confidential mental health services for children and youth. Since 2004 Cosmic Bowl has raised more than $583,000 for PCC.

Cosmic Bowl highlights included $26,000 in items to be won through the balloon pop and silent auction, as well as a feast of mini cupcakes from Brampton’s OccaSSions Treats Parlour. Teams competed to win prizes for Best Dressed, Highest Score, Lowest Score and Most Money Raised.

Ceri Harnden, Chief Officer, System Integration, welcomed and thanked bowlers, sponsors and volunteers for “supporting [PCC’s] Vision of caring communities working together for children, youth and families in need of mental health services.” Chris Hoffman, Vice-President of Cosmic Bowl Presenting Sponsor Peel Elementary Teachers’ Local (PETL), shared a few words on behalf of PETL members. Ascona Foods Group Ltd., King Masonry Yard, Metalogics, Moore Brothers Transport, Ironwood Bay and Husky Injection Molding Systems also supported the event as sponsors.

PCC is a fully accredited, not-for-profit children’s mental health agency.
