Mississauga – Peel Children’s Centre announced today that it will be the charity of choice for the Square One Photo with Santa Program for the 2012 holiday season.

“We are delighted that Square One Shopping Centre has named us their charity of choice again this year,” said Humphrey Mitchell, Executive Director of Peel Children’s Centre. “This builds on the support we received in 2011 and helps us to meet the increasing mental health needs of children and youth in our growing community.”

Square One presented Peel Children’s Centre (PCC) with a cheque for $3,708.50 representing proceeds from their 2011 Holiday Santa Photo campaign.

With each photo package sold, 50 cents went to PCC to support children in the Peel community who are experiencing serious emotional difficulties such as depression, anxiety, learning disabilities, self-harm and more.

“The holidays are a special time for children,” said Elena Price, Director of Marketing for Square One Shopping Centre. “Square One is dedicated to working with, and on behalf of, local community organizations to increase awareness and assist with fund-raising initiatives. It is our responsibility and a pleasure to give back through partnerships and sponsorships throughout the year. We are pleased to support Peel Children’s Centre and the important work they do for the children in our community.”

Peel Children’s Centre is a fully accredited children’s mental health agency that provides high quality mental health services to more than 3,700 children and youth in the Peel community each year.
