ICF (ages 0-6):

Child and Family 0-6 Program (Preschool)
Is your young child having challenges with their behaviour, feelings, or relationships at home or in the community?

Our Child and Family 0-6 Program can provide services to help you support your child, build on their strengths and better understand how to support their needs.  This is a voluntary, in-home weekly program that lasts up to 6 months. And we will provide services to you and your child in your home, at a time that is best for you.

Can your child use our services?
You and your child can use our services
  • if you, the child's parent(s) or guardian, live in the Region of Peel,
  • if your child is under 7 years of age,
  • if your child may seriously hurt themselves or others,
  • if your child may be losing their place at home, school, or childcare,
  • if your child has seen violence or been abused, or
  • if your child has challenges relating to others (adults or peers), or
  • if your child has a hard time doing the things he or she should be able to do at their age,
  • if your child has a hard time managing and communicating their feelings.

What do we do?
If this service is right for you and your child, our child and family clinicians, registered with the College of Social Work will work together with you to create a plan to support your child with developing coping and relationship skills. This treatment will be specific to your child’s needs.
