WHY:
The Mississauga Firefighters Association’s Benevolent Fund donates to Peel Children’s Centre and its Westacres Summer Day Treatment Camp. This camp is offered free of charge to elementary school-aged children who attend Day Treatment classrooms during the school year. The camp combines mental health treatment with social and recreational opportunities, providing an opportunity for the campers to maintain and build on their treatment gains during the summer months.
