Nexus Youth CentreAre you interested in hanging out with other youth or getting some information that can help you find a job, get new skills, or go back to school? You should come to Nexus Youth Centre.
Should you come to Nexus Youth Centre?
You can come to the youth centre if:
- you are 12 to 24 years old,
- you want to spend some time with other youth, and
- you want to learn ways to build skills or get a job.
The Nexus Youth Centre is on the 2nd Floor of the Mississauga Central Library located at 301 Burnhamthorpe Rd. West in Mississauga.
What do we do?
At Nexus Youth Centre, we offer these 3 programs.
1. In our drop-in activities, there are many things you can do, for example,
- you can play pool, dominoes or jitz with other youth,
- you can use our computers and search the Internet,
- you can look for a job at nearby Square One Shopping Centre or other places in the community,
- you can talk to staff who will listen and help you with your problems, and
- you can find out about services in your community.
2. In our formal programming, you can join one of our many groups
- to have fun and make friends,
- to talk about things you are interested in, and
- to improve your job and leadership skills.
3. In our youth volunteerism program, you can get work experience, earn community service hours, and learn the skills that you need to help others in your community.
