Square One Youth CentreAre you interested in hanging out with other youth or getting some information that can help you find a job, get new skills, or go back to school? You should come to Square One Youth Centre (SOYC).
Should you come to SOYC?
You can come to SOYC if:
- you are 12 to 24 years old,
- you want to spend some time with other youth, and
- you want to learn ways to build skills or get a job.
What do we do?
At SOYC, we offer these 3 programs.
1. In our drop-in activities, there are many things you can do, for example,
- you can play pool, dominoes or jitz with other youth,
- you can use our computers and search the Internet,
- you can look for a job at Square One Shopping Centre or other places in the community,
- you can talk to staff who will listen and help you with your problems, and
- you can find out about services in your community.
2. In our formal programming, you can join one of our many groups
- to have fun and make friends,
- to talk about things you are interested in, and
- to improve your job and leadership skills.
3. In our youth volunteerism program, you can get work experience, earn community service hours, and learn the skills that you need to help others in your community.
