Child Witness Preparation ProgramOur Child Witness Preparation Program is an educational program for children appearing in court because they experienced or witnessed sexual or physical violence.
Who is eligible for our program?Children under 18 years of age who live in the Region of Peel are eligible to participate in our program
- if they have experienced or witnessed sexual or physical violence, and
- if they are required to appear in court as a witness.
The program also helps children under 18 years or age who live outside the Region of Peel but are required to testify in court within the Region of Peel.
What do we do?We prepare children for their testimony in court. We support these children emotionally, reduce their stress, and educate them about court procedures.
We offer this service in the office, community, or home.
