ICF Service (age 0-6):
Intensive Child and Family Service (Preschool)Our Preschool Intensive Child and Family Service provides intensive, individualized treatment and clinical support for children from birth to 6 years who have serious, complex mental health issues.
Who is eligible for this service?In general, we treat children who may
- be at risk of harming themselves or others;
- be about to lose their placement at home, school, or childcare;
- have witnessed violence or been physically abused; or
- have attachment problems.
What do we do?Our service helps these children remain in their home and at school or childcare. We help families and schools cope with these children.
Our multi-disciplinary team of child and family clinicians focuses on the child’s and family’s needs, and builds on individual and family strengths. After assessing the child and family, this multi-disciplinary team develops a treatment plan.
Treatment may include
- individual and family therapy;
- support for parents in the home, skills training, or group services;
- advocacy and collaboration with other service providers; and
- psychological and psychiatric assessment and consultation.
We offer treatment in the family home, at school, or in the community at a time that is convenient for the family.
