Volunteer Program Our Volunteer Program develops, implements, and maintains a wide variety of programs that support and enhance the services offered by Peel Children’s Centre and Nexus Youth Services. These programs are staffed with volunteers from the community.
Who is eligible for our program?
Our Volunteer Program is for clients of Peel Children’s Centre and Nexus Youth Services who need the services that our volunteers provide.
What do we do?Our volunteers provide a wide range of services, for example,
- transportation for children and their families having difficulty getting to appointments at Peel Children's Centre,
- one-to-one tutoring and mentoring for children having difficulties with school work,
- on-site childcare for parents attending Peel Children's Centre educational, support, or counselling sessions,
- assistance finding books and materials that may be of interest or help to parents,
- host families for Children’s Mental Health Respite Services of Peel, and
- assistance with fundraising and special events throughout the year.
How can you access these services?To access these services, parents or caregivers should contact the Child and Family Clinician who works with their child.
