Sexual Abuse Treatment Program
Our Sexual Abuse Treatment Program provides specialized out-client services for families coping with trauma involving sexual abuse or sexual assault.

Who is eligible for this program?
We treat children under 18 years of age living in the Region of Peel, who have been victims of sexual abuse or sexual assault.

What do we do?
Our clinical services include assessments, treatments, and reviews.

 

Assessments are psychometrically validated and may include a trauma assessment, sexualized behaviour assessment, offence-specific assessment, and risk assessment.

 

We treat clients using a combination of individual, group, and family counselling. Empirically based interventions, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, are provided for all clients of the program.

 

After the completion of our treatment program, families are reminded that, should these issues resurface in the future, they are welcome to recommence their treatment process with Peel Children's Centre.
