The Arson Prevention Program for ChildrenIf your child has been setting fires, The Arson Prevention Program for Children, also called TAPP-C, can help you and your child.
Can your child use our program?Your child can use our TAPP-C program
- if your child is under 18 years old and lives in the Region of Peel, and
- if he or she has been setting fires.
What do we do?We will talk to you and your child, and do some tests.
- We will check your home to see how safe it is.
- We will teach your child and your family about fire safety.
- We will do a test, called an assessment, to learn about your child’s mental health.
- We will do another assessment to decide if your child may set more fires in the future.
We will also make suggestions for your child’s treatment.
