ECHO Residential Treatment ProgramIf your teenager has been in trouble because of his sexual behaviour, our ECHO Residential Treatment Program may be able to help.
Your teenager will live with us while we give special treatment to help him deal with his problems.
When can your teenager be in our program?
Your teenager can be in our ECHO Residential Treatment Program
- if he is 13 to 17 years old, and
- if he has been in trouble with the law because of his sexual behaviours, or
- if he has a high chance of getting into trouble again and cannot be treated safely in the community.
This program treats teenagers who live in the Region of Peel and teenagers who live in other communities.
What do we do?
Our team of mental health workers will focus on your teenager’s strengths. They will help him deal with his sexual behaviours and feelings.
At first, your teenager will go to a special school that is next door to where he is living. As he does better, he may be able to go to school in the community and take part in activities in the community.
If your family lives in the Region of Peel, we will help you while we treat your teenager. We will also help you and your teenager when he is ready to return home.
